Contributing to Communities
The AMADA Group is involved in a variety of activities aimed at contributing to sustaining and advancing a prosperous and healthy society.
Sponsoring sports activities
The AMADA Group supports sports activities in Japan and overseas.
Motorsports
In 2024, AMADA America sponsored the IndyCar Series Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL) as a primary sponsor, with Takuma Sato driving at Indy500.
We will continue to be a sponsor in 2025.


Football
AMADA has been the official top partner of Shonan Bellmare, a J-League professional soccer team whose hometown is Isehara City, Kanagawa Prefecture, where AMADA's head office is located. AMADA has been appointed as a uniform partner for the 2025 season.


Community sports competitions
The AMADA Group sponsors the annual Ohyama Climbing Marathon held in Isehara City; the Ekiden relay race in Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture, where its Fujinomiya Works is located; and the Shizuoka Pro Golf Championship.



Hosting and supporting events
The AMADA Group sponsors local and regional events in Japan and overseas.
Community events
The AMADA Group holds the community exchange event “Hanamikeshon” every April at the Ono Plant (Ono City, Hyogo). The plant’s grounds are opened to the public to deepen our relationship with the local community. Community members can stroll among the cherry blossom trees, take a plant tour, participate in demonstrations, and receive gifts of flower seedlings.
In addition, we also sponsor local festivals such as the Ono Festival (Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture), Isehara Art Fireworks Festival, Isehara Kanko Dokan Festival (Isehara City, Kanagawa), Oiso Festival (Oiso Town, Naka County, Kanagawa), and Nihonmatsu Chrysanthemum Figure event (Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima).






In the United States, AMADA North America hosted the award ceremony of the Manufacturing Career Internship Program (MCIP), which is attended by interns as well as manufacturers and local city officials, and presented a demonstration of AMADA machinery at Los Angeles technical center. AMADA North America also took the initiative in organizing the Schaumburg Business Association Conference, and explained why Schaumburg—home to our local Solution Center—was such an attractive location for AMADA.



Contribution activities
The Amada Group carries out social contribution activities in cooperation with local organizations.
Doctor-Heli
Aligning with the mission of Tokai University Hospital's Doctor-Heli medical helicopter project, we have begun sponsoring the initiative in 2025 as a company headquartered in Isehara City seeking to contribute to its ongoing support and development.
Contributions will be used for equipment and maintenance costs related to the operation.
Amada is the first company to sponsor a Doctor-Heli at Tokai University Hospital.


Charitable contributions
Blood donation drives are held annually at works and plants in the AMADA Group, with more than 300 employees participating annually.
In addition, local cleanup activities conducted by the Fujinomiya Works (Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture), the Ono Plant (Ono City, Hyogo Prefecture), the Miki Plant (Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture), and the Fukushima Plant (Nihonmatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture).



Contribution to monozukuri (manufacturing)
The AMADA Group provides support to people and industries involved in monozukuri.
We sponsor the Formula SAE Japan, where students design and build racing cars to compete based on their performance, planning skills, and technical capabilities. We also exhibit at the Monozukuri Experience Stadium, which aims to teach children the fun of monozukuri and science. In addition, we are also supporting FACTORY'S GOODs, a pop-up store that introduces and sells products that are packed with the technology and wisdom of Japanese monozukuri companies.



Contributing to culture and the arts
The AMADA Group also commits to activities that support culture and the arts.
We sponsor the Nikkei's Hoshi Award, a literary award that challenges people to think scientifically. Furthermore, we sponsor the Kanagawa Classical Music Competition organized by the Kanagawa Shimbun with the winners invited to play in the AMADA Memorial Concert. Furthermore, we sponsor the Rakuchu Kansei Art Exhibition held in Kyoto.



Supporting academia and education
The AMADA Group supports the development of human resources who will lead the next generation through workplace tours, internships, and outreach lectures by its employees.
Japan
The Fujinomiya Works (Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture) organized a plant tour as a contribution to the Summer Vacation Parent and Child Environmental Expedition sponsored by Fujinomiya City. The theme of the tour was to see how a plant takes measures to prevent air pollution. In addition to presenting the environmental efforts of the Fujinomiya Works to the visitors, who were mainly in lower elementary school grades, we also introduced them to the production process by showing painting booths, machine processing, and a laser-dedicated factory.
We also actively welcome social studies tours from nearby schools, such as workplace tours from the Fujinomiya branch of the Fuji Special Needs School.



Overseas
In the United States, AMADA AMERICA assists with California’s professional training program by taking on interns, cultivating their interest in manufacturing through practical experience of tasks and debates.
In addition, AMADA TOOL AMERICA participated in an open house at a vocational school and provided an opportunity for students to look at and handle sample parts.
In the United Kingdom, AMADA UNITED KINGDOM organized professional training sessions for various schools, hosting interns as well as students with disabilities, allowing young people to experience jobs suited to their strengths.
In India, AMADA INDIA hosted a sheet metal processing course at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras for engineers, management staff, and students, who attended classroom lectures and had the opportunity to operate machines in a demonstration facility.
In France, based on agreements with local high schools and universities, AMADA Europe S.A. regularly welcomes students to visit its workplace. The students observe each work process on site and learn the required skills, which assists them in discovering their carrier aptitudes.
AMADA Europe S.A. also hosts professional training sessions for students of local technical high schools and unemployed adults. The sessions, which have been featured in local newspapers, are tailored to the needs of local companies, contributing to employment, career decision-making, and the development of local industry.





Workplace tours and exchange meetings for family members
The AMADA Group values each employee, their families, and everyone connected to the company, striving to become a better company through its initiatives.
The participating employees commented, among other things, that it was not only a good opportunity for their families to understand their workplace but also for the employees themselves to rethink and deepen their understanding of the Group. Some also reported that their children wanted to work for a company like AMADA in the future.



In Denmark, a family tour was held to celebrate the opening of the new Technical Center.
Family tours are also held in France, China, and other parts of the world.
