Sheet Metal Fabrication Machines
Sheet metal fabrication machines primarily cut, punch, bend, weld, and otherwise process metal sheets of a thickness of a few millimeters.
This processing method is suitable for high-mix, small-lot production, and the end products are more often used for commercial products than home applications.
Processed products are interlinked with our daily lives in various ways, many of which are key to our social infrastructure and otherwise enrich our lives.
These products are often usable over long periods of time, and their constituent metals are highly recyclable. This is why sheet metal fabrication machinery contributes greatly to global environmental protection and plays an important role in society.
AMADA’s sheet metal fabrication machines are also known for their excellent environmental performance, boasting high productivity with low power consumption.

Sheet metal fabrication machine lineup
-
Blanking machines
Blanking machines are used in the initial sheet metal fabrication processes. They are primarily used to cut or drill holes in metal sheets to cut out the required shape.
-
Press brakes
Press brakes bend the parts that were cut out by blanking machines. The machines bend metal sheets by placing them between an upper and lower tooling and applying a large amount of pressure.
-
Welders
Welders attach sheet metal parts to each other or to other metal parts by melting them with heat or by applying both heat and pressure.
-
General fabrication machines
Sheet metal fabrication involves various processes other than blanking, bending, and welding. General fabrication machines are AMADA’s term for machines used in these processes.
-
Software
This includes programming software to run machines, production management software to manage the progress of ordered products, and process management software.
-
Toolings
This is mainly utilized with punching machines and press brakes. Toolings are mounted to a machine so that the machine can apply pressure to cut, drill, bend, and make surface irregularities in metal sheets.
-
Oil
AMADA offers a wide selection of cutting fluids, lubricants, and other consumables that are chlorine-free and not subject to the PRTR Law.
