The AMADA Group’s Strengths

Utilizing its advanced technological and problem-solving capabilities, the AMADA Group supports its global customers’ manufacturing and rich lifestyles created for people by this manufacturing.

From solution proposals to support

The AMADA Group listens directly to customer feedback and develops products that helps resolve their issues and needs.
Our in-house development includes not only machines but also automation equipment, consumables such as parts and toolings, software, and processing technology.
Applying our engineering prowess to these assets, we propose and provide solutions optimized to our customers’ situations.
Furthermore, by connecting customers and AMADA through our IoT-based mechanism called V-factory, issues can be visualized to support stable operation and high-value-added production.

Global presence

Since the establishment of U.S. AMADA LTD. in 1971, we have been globalizing operations, and currently have approximately 400,000 machines in operation in more than 100 countries and regions.
We have approximately 50 sales and service bases in Japan and 100 overseas to support these machines and help customers achieve stable operations.
In addition, by conducting local production at 24 overseas bases in locations such as the United States and Europe, we have established a system to supply products more rapidly and with less risk.

Technology paving the way for new growth

The AMADA Group develops numerous metalworking technologies such as laser processing, cutting, plastic processing, grinding, and welding, as well as control technologies to control machinery and information technologies such as IoT.
Particularly in laser processing, we have accumulated expertise through many years of research and development in oscillator technology for emitting laser beams, control technology to manipulate beams, and processing technology to perform optimal processing.
We will further expand application domains for this laser technology and develop business in new fields such as e-Mobility, medical, and semiconductors.

Over the years, we have accumulated know-how in oscillator technology for creating light, control technology for manipulating light, and processing technology for processing with light, and have realized laser solutions that can be utilized and contribute to new fields such as medicine, semiconductors, and e-Mobility.

Products and services based on customer feedback

The AMADA Group has established a direct sales and service model, providing product sales, maintenance, and other services directly to customers. We achieve continuous innovation by applying the various needs and issues we gather through customer dialogue to our overall business activities, including the development of new technologies and products.

Engineering capabilities

One of the AMADA Group’s strengths lies in the high level of engineering capabilities that it has cultivated by addressing the diverse and sophisticated needs of its customers. We strive to improve our employees’ engineering capabilities so as to have convincing and reliable offerings that put customers at ease when they choose our products.
In addition to practical technical training using our own facilities, we offer a full range of human resource development programs, including the Overseas Business Study Program, in which trainees travel from Japan to Group companies around the world to learn about local business activities and market trends. In 2024, we opened the AMADA Technical Education Center (ATEC) to build our capabilities. Going forward, we will further strengthen our efforts to cultivate engineering talent.
