Announcement of Sponsor Contract Renewal for “Takuma Sato Participation in Indy 500”

AMADA AMERICA, INC. (AAI), our U.S. subsidiary, and Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL), a U.S. team competing in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES, announced on March 17, 2026, that they will continue their sponsorship agreement. At the same time, it was announced that Takuma Sato will compete in the 110th Indianapolis 500 (Indy 500), to be held on May 24, 2026 (local time), in the team’s No. 75 car, as he did last year. This marks the third year, following 2024 and 2025, that AAI will serve as the primary sponsor for the car, and the AMADA logo will be displayed on the vehicle and racing suit.

Takuma Sato was with RLL in 2012 and from 2018 to 2021, achieving four victories with the team, including the 2020 Indy 500 win. AAI and RLL have been building a partnership since 2023, and AAI has served as the main sponsor since Takuma Sato returned to the team for the Indy 500 in 2024. RLL continues to highly value the machines, technology, and services provided by the company.

■Comment from Takuma Sato
“The moment the checkered flag fell at the 2025 Indy 500, our preparation for the 110th running had already begun. I’m incredibly excited to continue this journey with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing as we take on unfinished business. A sincere thank you to Bobby, Mike, David, and everyone at RLL for their belief and commitment. It’s an honor to once again represent AMADA as the primary partner, alongside Panasonic Automotive Systems, Niterra, Deloitte Tohmatsu, Nac, Honda, HRC, and all of our loyal sponsors who make this challenge possible. Last year, we showed tremendous speed and strong potential. Now, we return even more focused, more prepared, and more determined. The Indy 500 is always special, but this year carries extra excitement. I can’t wait to reunite with the team, see all the familiar faces, and start building momentum toward May.”

■About the Indy 500
The Indy 500 is contested over 200 laps on a 2.5-mile oval, totaling a race distance of 500 miles (805 km). Held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, U.S.A., it is the largest motorsport event in the world and is considered one of the three major races in the world. INDYCAR is actively engaged in sustainable activities to reduce environmental impact, and a hybrid system has been introduced since July 2024. The 110th race will also feature racing using this system.

Under our themes of “Eco-friendly manufacturing” and “Developing people who practice creativity and challenge,” the AMADA Group aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable environment and society. Through this partnership, we will continue to take on the challenge of creating new value.
