Announcement of Sponsor Contract on “Takuma Sato Attendance at Indy 500”

On February 16, 2024, our U.S.-based AMADA AMERICA, INC (AAI) signed a sponsorship contract with a U.S. team, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL), which is participating in NTT INDYCAR SERIES. Through this agreement, we will become the primary sponsor of the machine of Takuma Sato, who will participate from this team at the 108th Indianapolis 500 (Indy 500). Amada logo will be show on the car and racing suit.

Takuma Sato was driving for RLL in 2012 and 2018-2021, and earning four wins in the INDYCAR series in RLL. This includes the winning of INDY 500 in 2020. AAI established a partnership with RLL in 2023 and have been highly regarded for the machines, technologies, and services we provide.

Indy 500 will be race for 500 miles (805km) with a mile of 2.5 a lap at 200, and the final race will be held on May 26, 2024 (local time). It is the largest motorsports event in the United States to be held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, USA. Along with F1 Monaco Grand Prix and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, it is one of the three major races worldwide. IndyCar uses 100% renewable fuels and eco tires made from waste plastic to reduce environmental impact. They are also actively involved in sustainable activities, such as using 100% renewable energy for the electricity consumed by the entire facility, and using renewable diesel fuel for team trailers that transport racing cars.

We aim to contribute to the realization of a sustainable environment and society based on the themes of “Eco-connected Monozukuri (Production)” and “Human resources development that implements creativity and challenge.” Through this partnership, we will take on the challenge of creating new value.
