The 25th Ceremony

The 25th Precision Sheet Metal Technology Fair award ceremony held at Amada FORUM246 in Isehara city, Kanagawa Prefecture, March 2 2013.

The total number of entries were 261 (of 80 from overseas), a record high number.
This year, the new Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Award was added to the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Award, Japan Vocational Ability Development Association Chairman's Award, Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun Award.
The categories were also renewed and awards were given to the outstanding products of Single sheet metal part, Assembled part, Welded part, Formative arts, and Students participation.

The ceremony started off with greeting speeches by the Amada School chairman Mr. Okamoto, and the honorary guest Mr. Tanaka of METI. General outline of this year’s entries and the selection standards were explained by Mr. Kiuchi, the chairman of the judging committee, followed by announcements of each award, and reviews of significant product of each category.

The Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Award went to Takarae Co., Ltd. for the first time. The new METI award went Tanabe Metal Tec. Tanabe has won the Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Award for two consecutive years until last year, and achieved a glorious winning the major awards for three consecutive years.

After the commendation ceremony, participants moved to the hall of “Precision Sheet Metal Technology Fair”, the opening place of the fair. And then social meeting was held at the venue.

With exhibiting all the entered parts in the hall, sponsors and prizewinners greeted and communicated each other. And Processing Technology Contribution Award went to Tanaka Electric Industry of Osaka. Tanaka has been continuously participating in the Fair for 25 consecutive years. And then the social meeting of the fair was closed with mild and harmony.
