We sincerely thank you very much for receiving honorable Japan Vocational Ability Development Association Chairman’s Award on our “Garden lantern”. I understand the award is particularly for the design especially use of brass for coloring. To begin with, each group within the company challenge to piece from their own idea freely.

Our group thinks to make mullion by metal, which is usually made of wood then, develops to square box followed by “Garden lantern” finally.

The difficult and gaining point is the relations of material type, thickness change and clearance adjustment due to the warp occurrence without keeping flatness from distortion when joint is too tight as parts fix each other on mullion without any fixing goods like screw.I again realize the importance of “Cooperation” during the manufacturing process by each specialist from parts design, blanking and bending, that reach to the final completion.

We should aim for the honorable award on next year and I will help for young staff to be motivated for enthusiasm as back up support since shall retire next year.
