In manufacturing processes, we took great pains in two points. One was the flat layout. We decided the flat layout after examining and thinking out the best sectionalizing line that would make welding and grinding easier while satisfying requirements for distortion and dimensional accuracy. The other was the grinding. As both the front surface with welding beads and the rear surface with #700 finish could be seen, we made a welding tool that would cause no impact on either surface and ground the surfaces to improve the product appearance.
The neat front bead surface was left intentionally unground so that the welding method would be obvious, which seemed to have received recognition.
All of our employees are delighted to have received the Gold Award and the Japan Vocational Ability Development Association Chairman’s Award as a result of our thorough efforts of pursuing technologies during this period of depression.
