The "Pegasus" was an interesting idea we had when we were testing the possibilities of our AMADA-CNC-Laser machine. Since 1936 our company is working in the area of metal armatures for the furniture industry. Our customers are very well known producers of distinguished furniture and sometimes they offer very special and exclusive designs.
Our standard to our product quality therefore has to be extremely high and we have to fulfil very special demands of our clients. The work piece number starts from one only prototype to sometimes 500,000 units of very often required standard armatures. As the lot number is frequently getting smaller and workpieces getting more and more complex, we had to look for a very flexible and economic solution for our production. With the new laser technology we found a way to manufacture our prototypes and articles with a smaller lot number without any retouching work.
Furthermore we now do not have to produce any costly special tooling for our stamping machines for these kind of parts. The production of the "Pegasus" made of 41 single parts in 2 mm stainless steel, showed us high quality and good flexibility of laser manufacturing.
We have developed several parts of that kind, that we use as an eye catcher for the visitors of our company.
When the award was announced the pleasure in our company was tremendous. As one of the first European companies to receive the "Gold Award" we feel highly honoured, specially with regard to so many remarkable parts from all over the world having participated in this event. |
