Departing from the iron fan as a weapon, the "Steel Tulip" is a sheet metal artwork fusing the streamlined curves and sharp tips of a lily-flowering tulip with the dynamic movement of ballet, inspired by the tulip cultivar "BALLERINA."Streamlined Form & Precise Opening Mechanism:Petals designed in AP100 use a 2-layer structure for depth. To enable ten 1mm SUS304 petals to open and close at 18° pitch, a unique "3-piece set" mechanism with 2.5mm tabs was created. Custom-length screws were made for the pivot axis instead of riveting.Rigorous Prototyping & Process Control:To prevent assembly errors, type and sequence codes were scribed onto all parts, accompanied by detailed work instructions for time-efficient assembly.Subtle Craftsmanship Details:"BALLERINA" is engraved on petals in Morse code. A swallowtail butterfly motif decorates the base frame, while polishing was intentionally omitted to retain the natural metal texture.
