The material is a stainless spring steel (SUS304 CSPH). That portion of the product made up of the material being minimal and thin, the machining had to be done with great care in order to avoid beating of the section drawn to cause distortion. Since the product is both small and requires very high dimensional precision, its production involved great effort and ingenuity, but I believe that Ban Seisakusho is equipped with the requisite knowhow. We consider this award a recognition of our micromachining techniques.
Micromachining is a field where we are now making particular effort. Thus, our pleasure in winning the Gold Prize was all the greater. There is rapidly growing demand for small product with high dimensional precision recently. The technologies have no end. We will continue in our constant effort to improve our techniques in working with ultraprecision sheet metal.
