This product is a component for pharmaceutical or edible capsule polishing machines and pill pickers. We produce 60 pieces every year.The hopper chute has four parts and is 1.2 mm thick. To make the outer circumference of the top section sufficiently strong requires a rise of some 5 mm. In addition to the eccentricity of the hopper, the chute welding surface in the bottom section is formed of 30-degree arcs, the welding and finishing are difficult and each part demands considerable precision.
First, the top section of the hopper entails manual bending and eccentricity spinning. We devised a means of producing identical products by joining a locking mount to an object of the same shape. To facilitate the interior finishing and restrict distortion, we welded on the interior.
This Gold Award is in a different field from last year's. I hope it will provide renewed incentive to TOA STAINLESS Co., Ltd. to maintain our thirst for engineering skills and improve our contributions to machining. |
