Strengths

Mizu, a celebration of word water. The design focuses on capturing essence of water in a virtual cuboid. The various wave formations which generate solids and voids at the same instant. The object is designed such that the observer gets to see though the object from every side, enabling the eye to travel to solid to transparent and back to solid.
The main processes involved were modelling the voids with sheets of metal.Sequencing the same sheets to align for completion of forms. Using Amada laser cutter to cut sheets. Curving the sheets into shapes.
Welding and then finishing the same to complete the object.
