VENTIS 4kW Fibre Laser + HDS1303 Press Brake
The proposed manufacturing process combines high-precision fibre laser cutting with a sequential press brake forming process to manufacture sheet metal brackets with complex geometries, high dimensional accuracy, and consistent quality. The bracket is first laser cut. The flat pattern is then formed through three carefully controlled bending operations:
1 – An initial acute bend is formed using V25 30-deg tooling to create the required bracket geometry.
2 – The component is repositioned and formed to achieve the required 90-deg bend angle and dimensional accuracy.
3 – Sliding Hemming Flattening is used to flatten the hem, creating a finished edge with improved rigidity, safety, and appearance.
This sequential forming method enables the production of a complex bracket using a combination of specialised tooling and controlled bending operations, reducing the need for additional fabrication processes.
