Strengths

Achieving realistic underwater movement presented significant engineering challenges—the mechanism failed to operate if internal clearance was either too tight or too loose. Determining the ideal flow position and rate also required constant trial and error. By utilizing Super Alkaline Ionized Water (SAIW), we enabled carbon steel components to achieve a truly "rust-free swimming" motion underwater. For the base, sheet-metal scrap generated from daily manufacturing operations was upcycled directly to represent riverbed sand and gravel.
