Strengths

Designed in SolidWorks, components were unfolded using Production Designer and auto-nested in VPSS Blank to optimize material yield. Blank cutting was executed on a high-speed REGIUS 9kW fibre laser with linear drives for rapid processing, where pre-fabricated expanded mesh sheet was laser-cut precisely into the outer circular disc shape without fraying. The flat outer casing profile was then spun into shape on a metal spinning machine, forming the smooth circular housing and integrated hemmed edge. Final assembly was completed using a handheld fibre welder, producing clean, seamless joins with minimal thermal distortion. Combining high-speed laser profiling, metal spinning, and handheld fibre welding significantly reduced production lead times while achieving exceptional structural rigidity and finish quality
