Belonging to the family Accipitridae, eagles are apex predators, sitting at the top of the food chain in their respective habitats. There are over 60 species of eagle found across every continent.
Eagles have one of the sharpest sights in the animal kingdom, estimated to be four to eight times better than a human. Their large, curved talons are used to seize and carry off prey, while their strong, hooked beak is designed for tearing flesh.
