When the teacher at the high school I graduated from informed me that we had received the “Gold Award at Student's fabrication category”, I thought he was kidding us and I was only half in belief until the day of the award ceremony. I have now finally realized the gravity of this great award when we received the certificate of commendation, and I am now very glad with it.

When choosing the theme of the product, we wanted to express roughness, aged look, and vibrancy that can only be shown by welding not machining process, and we arrived at the skeleton of a dinosaur.

The size and shape of every single part differed and the angle of welding changed by trial and error to make it look natural, which were the hard work. It was a challenge however, fun at the same time since we could see the parts taking shape of a dinosaur little by little.

Through this creation process, we learned that quality is clearly achieved only by sticking to small details. We have also studied no little compromise is acceptable at all if we want to create an excellent quality product as a matter of course.

I now work for an automobile manufacturer and would like to devote myself to the best of my ability in the world of manufacturing. I would also like to create many products in my private time that will please the others.
