Creative Concept of the Work:
This artwork takes the dragon and the imagery of mountains and seas as its core theme, expressing the idea of a person living with wholehearted devotion. Even if unable to be with the one they most wish to protect in life, they still wish to cherish and care for their most precious beloved with all their heart.
Technical Features:
The dragon’s head is crafted using a combination of semi-manual and mechanical techniques. First, the upper and lower parts of the head are bent using a press brake, then entirely hand-welded to form the dragon’s head. The dragon’s body is composed by joining together sections of small tubes, while the scales are made from long oval pieces (5x2) processed with NCT. A total of 950 scales are individually welded together to complete the form.
