We would sincerely appreciate on our work piece "Gear clock" to be selected for the honorable Kanagawa Prefectural Governor's Award whice is newlyintroduced for the work piece to contain future-oriented idea, technology and technique leading to innovation"

We considered what we should make for Sheet metal assemble parts category and concluded to produce the work containing many gears. Then we decided to make "Clock" symbolizing 30 years passage of The Precision Sheet Metal Technology fair.

The hard-working point at design stage was to create the complex image from staff member into shape by 3D CAD.

The process data had to be fine tuned at the alarm occurrence for too much notching processed by combination machine while production, of which was another naxiety. At he final assemble stage, it was very awkward to bring the level together for approximately 50 gears to move smoothly.

The new ideas which are to make dual gears with sheet metal putting small gear into large one and to use stud for 90 degree gear were borne.

We wish to create the work piece leading for the sheet metal industry to move forward through various ideas and technologies from participation of many people.
