Q1. When was Amada established?: A1. Amada was established on September 10, 1946, and incorporated on May 1, 1948.

Q2. What markets is Amada's stock listed on?: A2. Amada's stock is listed on the First Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the First Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange.

Q3. When did Amada list its shares?: A3. Amada listed its shares on the Second Section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in October 1961, and listed its shares on the Second Section of the Osaka Securities Exchange in July 1962.
The Company's stock was later designated to the First Section of both the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange in August 1969, where it is currently listed.

Q4. How many shares are in a Stock Unit (1 lot) for purchasing Amada's shares?: A4. A Stock Unit consists of 1,000 shares.

Q9. What was the date of the merger between Amada and the former Amada Machinics Co., Ltd., and what was the merger ratio?: A9. The former Amada Machinics Co., Ltd. was merged with Amada on October 1, 2003.
The merger ratio was 0.657.
As a result, a shareholder owning 1,000 shares of stock of the former Amada Machinics Co., Ltd. was allocated 657 shares of Amada stock.

Q10. What was the date of the merger between the former Amada Sonoike Co., Ltd. and former Amada Wasino Co., Ltd., and what was the merger ratio?: A10. The former Amada Sonoike Co., Ltd. and former Amada Wasino Co., Ltd. merged on April 1, 2000, and the new company changed its trade name to Amada Machinics Co., Ltd.
The merger ratio was 0.487 shares of the former Amada Wasino Co., Ltd. for each share of the former Amada Sonoike Co., Ltd.
As a result, a shareholder owning 1,000 shares of stock of the former Amada Wasino Co., Ltd. was allocated 487 shares of stock of the former Amada Machinics Co., Ltd.
Furthermore, because the former Amada Machinics Co., Ltd. merged with Amada on October 1, 2003, this meant a shareholder owning 1,000 shares of stock of the former Amada Wasino Co., Ltd. owned 319 shares of stock of Amada as a result.

Q11. What was the date of the merger between Amada and the former Amada Metrecs Co., Ltd., and what was the merger ratio?: A11. The former Amada Metrecs Co., Ltd. was merged with Amada on April 1, 2000.
The merger ratio was 0.873.
As a result, a shareholder owning 1,000 shares of stock of the former Amada Metrecs Co., Ltd. was allocated 873 shares of Amada stock.

Q12. I still hold shares in the extinguished companies (former Amada Machinics Co., Ltd., former Amada Metrecs Co., Ltd., former Amada Wasino Co., Ltd.). Q13. I still have my original stock certificates; what do I need to do to convert them to book-entry shares?: A13. You should first confirm that the shares are in your own name. If the shares are in the name of another shareholder, there is a possibility you will lose your shareholder's rights after conversion of the shares to book-entry form is executed.
We also recommend that you consider depositing your share certificates with a securities firm for safekeeping.

Q1. When are Amada's settlement dates?: A1. Amada's fiscal year-end settlement date is March 31 of each year. The interim settlement date is September 30 of each year, the first quarter settlement date is June 30 of each year, and the third quarter settlement date is December 31 of each year.
